As someone who does not buy for a second the official 'suicide' explanation, has anything new come to light on this case in the last year or two?
This is one with a strange smell to it - like the truth is very deliberately being suppressed in order to protect someone with power/influence. That said, I appreciate some will take a very different view. |

Only thing I know is that both of his parents have now passed on and I think the case remains in a closed status. I also believe that he was killed and his death was covered up. Why that is, I don't know, and whom is being covered.

I have nothing new to add. His parents ran a website that is now defunct, since their deaths.
I also don't believe the "suicide" scenario. Dazinho, did you read the more detailed threads on here about the case? There was speculation that Tommy was an official informant, but it's highly doubtful, imo. His mother was an instructor at his college and she (and he) had problems with some of her students. I wouldn't be surprised if they're involved. |

My hunch was that some people were tormenting him, had no intention to kill but did by accident. The way in which his body would found is one that poses far more questions than answers. The cop who appeared on the segment is probably one of the worst liars of all time - he reeks of dishonesty to the point where if a man's death wasn't the subject of discussion, it would make you laugh. |

Nothing new to report on this case and sadly, I've always believed that the suspicious suicide/cover-up stories on UM (i.e. Tommy Burkett, Keith Warren, Norman Ladner, etc.) are the mysteries which are least likely to ever be solved. No matter how unconvincing the suicide theory may seem, these cases have officially been "closed" by LE, so it would take an awful lot of pressure to get these deaths properly investigated again.
