Talking Does anyone else do this??

I'm sure there are a few people here that have seen every ILL episode 100 times. I wonder if you guys do what I do- I notice something that I never noticed before.

For example- I was watching this morning's ep- Passports- and I just noticed that right before Lucy gets into the trunk, she puts the key in her pocket. I never, ever noticed that before!

Anyone do this??

ummm....no I can't say that I do. I just watch the episode that I've seen a million times before and I'm always surprised at the ending!

Sometimes that happens. I had seen the ep where they paint the Mertz's apartment probably 20 or 25 times before I noticed that feather that just comes floating down in the Ricardo's apartment in the final scene.

More often, though, this is where the lack of continuity is noticed. For instance, in "Lucy Writes a Novel," we see the basement with so many trash cans, but room to put all those scraps of paper together. What ever happened to the walk-in freezer they had put there-- did they have to sell it to pay for the 2 sides of beef that were roasted in the furnace?

Whenever there is an episode I've seen too many times I look at what they are wearing comparing it to today's clothes, or wonder what they did with all the furniture after the show ended. I never have found something new that I've missed, but I'll be looking harder now.

I haven't seen Lucy enough to do that on this show , but I have often with other shows and movies. Usually the more I watch a show or movie, the more I'll find the mistakes, inconsistencies, and bloopers. I think it's when you've seen the "main action" so often and you've memorized it that your eye can wander to see the other stuff that is less obvious.

I know I said I dind't but last night I noticed something in the Lucy Desi Comedy Hour episode "Lucy Hunts Uranium." When Lucy get's outa bed after Ricky leaves and she puts the head phones to the geiger counter on, then Ricky comes back cuz he said he forgot his drum and after he discovers her with the geiger counter he forbids her to go uranium hunting and then he leaves but he doesn't take his drum! (That was a long sentence! lol) Anyway, his drum was sitting right there in the room and when he left without it I figured it would be one of those things where he realizes he forgot it and comes back to get it but he didn't! I was surprised that no one caught that!

That's funny. I guess when they had him come in to get it (likely used just as an excuse to get him in there), they forgot to have him take it!

Along this line there are many cases where the characters completely forgot their purpose for being where they were, when they were. Often it has to do with food. Ricky wants his breakfast, comes to the kitchen and sits down, but it is then taken up with dialogue and you don't see him consume anything but a sip or 2 of coffee.

But one outstanding case like this is in "The First Stop." They talk so much about how hungry they are, then don't eat those dry cheese sandwiches the silly proprietor sells them, then Lucy drives that turnaround, and then they are willing to try to sleep in that crummy cabin having never eaten and not a word said further about food.

I noticed that too...and as obsessed as Ethel is about food it makes ya kinda wonder...HMMM!
I notice the bloopers in the show. Like the episode where Ethel and Lucy wall paper the bedroom and sell the furniture cuz Ricky wants to make Lucy think she won the Home Show prize. When Lucy takes Ricky into the bedroom to show him the wall paper you can see Fred standing in the background waiting for his cue...then when he comes in he seems to be out of breath from hurrying up to the apartment.
