Since there was only 1 Christmas episode done throughout the whole series, which involved the Ropers, do you think that it would have been nice to do one involving Mr. Furley?

I sure do. They should have done one later on in the series with Mr. Furley and Terri as well. I don't know why they only did one Christmas episode.

They could have done one like 'A Christmas Carol' with each of the roommates as the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future with Furley as Scrooge.
Also, they could have done with the 'It's A Wonderful Life' cliche with any one of the characters as the one wishing they weren't born. Other possibilities could be an adventure cross-country to see one of the trio's relatives for Christmas. |

They shouldn't have done any christmas episodes since the show was set in southern california and they lived near the beach.

Solomon, you are not a writer, are you? You see, you have to see the beauty in opportunity. Making something out of the unordinary. There’s conflict in there not being a typical Christmas in southern California. And then, with the power of magic, some breezy air comes from the North and BAM snowfall! No. Wait. No, that’s not snowfall. It doesn’t snow indoors! That’s Mr. Furley’s botched job at fixing the dry-wall in the ceiling. Laughter! Cue ending credits.

Cheers only had one Christmas Episodes in it 11 Years and it was set in Boston. But Friends had 9 Christmas episodes but a lot of them were not set on Christmas Eve or day. and it was set in New York. Neither one of those shows are family oriented sitcoms either.
The Golden Girls had 4 Christmas Episodes and it's set in Miami which is hotter then Los Angeles all year round. and in one of the episodes it Snowed! |

I lived in California for most of my life and I can assure you we celebrated Christmas just as much as anyone on the east coast does, we just don't shovel snow!

I think family sitcoms are more likely to have episodes that revolve around Christmas so that's probably why we only saw 1 |
