Default Sitcoms Online versus Facebook

I have grown very bored with Facebook. I like it here much better. It's more intimate and interesting. Here I have met(in a sense) some very nice people. Connecting with old friends on Facebook was great and I am grateful for that but because of FB I have neglected SO . I have learned that many of our members don't post here anymore because of time spent on Facebook. That's too bad. I miss a lot of them! Wish they would come back here! What are your thoughts?

I'm on FB everyday. There are some days when there's alot going on and some days there's not alot going on, but most times there's alot going on, at least on my profile. I'm not bored with it yet. About 20 of my FB friends are people I know from here. When I had my cable turned off, I lost my internet, too, so I had to use my phone and FB is easier to do on my phone than SO is.

Though I'm on FB everyday, I chose here.

Because I come here and post everyday here. I know I also post on BCDB, DCF, Inthe00s, RJ, BC&LJ, Acme, and CIH when I can...but I rarely post there, though I do.

The only reason that I get on Facebook anymore is because most of my family is on there and it gives me an opportunity to stay in touch with family members and friends that I don't see hardly or talk to anymore or to check my messages but that is it. Other than I have no other use for it, they keep changing the site around a lot and it is hard to get use to everything that I find it difficult to enjoy it like I use to anymore. As for Sitcoms Online I like it better because it gives you an opportunity to connect and communicate with people on a personal level which is really good for me because I can't get drive so my only way of getting to know people is the computer.

It depends on my mood, which site is more active, and what's going on in my real life.

I'm not surprised that people like some aspects of this board better than FB. I heard something once; something about how a large percentage of conversations turn to television, movies and sports.

I used to say that. Some people bugged me forever to get on FB. When I finally did, it doesn't take long to get hooked. It's not that bad. Everywhere you go, not just FB, you're going to encounter trolls but for the most part everybody is rather cool. And I learned a whole lot more about the people from SO on FB.

I only had one encounter with someone who dropped me as a friend on Facebook, we couldn't see eye-to-eye on things like abortions or religion.

I just blocked that person despite NOT hating me. I can't be a friend who can't get me!

Facebook and Sitcomsonline both have their ACTIVE MOMENTS. Facebook is active all day but it's really active between 8pm and 11pm and on Sundays. Sitcomsonline is dead on Friday nights but is active in the early evenings. So that's why I go on both. If Facebook is slow I come here, if this site is slow I go to facebook.

Amazingly, SitcomsOnline has remained in my top 5 websites since 2002. Now it has moved from number 1 to 5 and from 5 back up to 3 but never completely out of the top 5.
