Question Who had the cooler looking apartment? Frasier Or Niles?

Elliott Bay Towers or The Montana?

My personal taste in decor likes Elliot Bay Towers better because it's smaller and homier and has that view but The Montana is beautiful too and if Niles is standing inside his apartment at The Montana then that's where I'd be. I'd have to put in air conditioning though. I can't live without that. I'm surprised anybody there would live without that.

Default My Vote is for Elliot Bay Towers as well

Always felt at home watching the show scenes at Elliot Bay Towers.

Hard decision! But I guess I'll go with Frasier's apartment. Niles' was beautiful too, but maybe a bit more darkly lit. I would love to live in something like either one though!

Actually that was pretty impressive that the writers had the Montana without air conditioning because probably 90% of Seattleites don't have it. I'm not sure if the writers knew that but it's very typical which is why I love Frasier so much for being so "accurate" sometimes!

We've never had A/C in either of our houses or the apartment that we used to live in. It only gets dreadfully hot here for about a month (if that) out of the year and although we thought about getting A/C when we had that summer where it got up to 107 It was going to cost about 10,000. My husband suggested that if it ever gets that miserable again we could just check into a hotel. It'd be a lot cheaper!

But anyway as for my favorite apartment, I'd say Frasier's. I love Niles place (and if he was there, I'd much rather be there ). His kitchen is MUCH better than Frasier's. I'd be claustrophobic in Frasier's kitchen! But Frasier does have that amazing view. I just like the style of Frasier's a little more.

Wow the weather there is nothing like the weather here. The summers here get sweltering hot. This last summer we had days that got up to 120 degrees and even 125 degrees. If we didn't have air conditioners in Kansas we would all die of heat stroke.
I'm kind of glad I don't live in Seattle because I can't stand the cold. The winters here get cold enough and that is three months out of the year. I couldn't stand it all year long.

To answer the question about which apartment I would choose is both. I like them both in different ways and I just can't choose. I like Niles' because it's bigger but I like Frasier's because of the view. I really can't choose one or the other.

I moved here from Texas where it would get insanely hot, so it did take some getting used to. Actually right now we are having a very dry December which is completely weird. I'm hoping it continues through the long winter ahead (which for us will last through probably April ) but they say that another bad winter is upon us. Not looking foreword to that at all!

Seattle's definitely not for everyone weather wise-my mom always freezes when she comes here-even in August which is when it starts getting hot!! But it is a nice place to visit! Just sayin....

I would probably like the weather in Seattle. I'm one of those weird people who prefers gray and rain over sunny and warm. Not always, of course, but a lot of the time would be fine with me. I also prefer cold weather over hot and I love snow. I lived in Missouri and southern Illinois, and those weather conditions were a lot like Andress described. I've also lived in Florida and Tennessee, and those two places were too warm for me, although Tennessee wasn't as bad as Florida. Florida actually didn't get as hot as Missouri did in the summer, but it was the very warm weather all year round that I didn't prefer at all. My air conditioner ran all year round there, even at Christmas. High schools would have car washes over Christmas break. I really missed the rest of the seasons living there. I also lived in Michigan, and weather-wise that was my favorite. A lot of people still had air conditioners there though. But mostly I don't like the heat, so I'd have to have an air conditioner, even if it's just a portable one, I think.

Seriously it's not freezing cold here all the time (at least to me it isn't). We have 'spells' where it can be in the 30s for several days and then when it finally gets up to 50, it feels warm. I know that sounds really weird and even I can't figure it out!

But any of you who want to come to Seattle, I would LOVE to meet you! Don't let the weather distract you at all because it's such a beautiful city and SO worth visiting!
