Default David Hyde Pierce on Live!

It appears he will be on Live! with Kelly this Monday, Dec 12. I'm pretty excited about that!

Anybody catch this? I recorded it then watched it just now. It was too short for me, but it was a good interview for the few minutes it lasted. He looks great... in this interview, he's not really looking too much older than that last season of Frasier. And I know this is going to sound like a girl who has a crush on him (uuuhh, present! ) but he sounded like maybe he's getting over a cold or something and his voice was a bit deeper and very sexy. He has a play opening in NYC on December 19, so I think a trip will be in order sometime in Jan or Feb. It is necessary for me to get a hug, an autograph, and a picture taken with him. Anybody want to come along??

Unfortunately I didn't catch it but I hope to see it on You Tube. It's nice to know he's still busy working and still looks good. Thanks for the update.

I saw it. It was too short, but I liked it! Here it is on YouTube, Andress. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7unk80gkKCw

I love watching David's interviews. He seems like such a nice guy. I wanna see him do another scripted show though, I miss seeing him on TV.

Yeah, me too! I've read that he's pretty picky when it comes to TV shows and that he hasn't found one that suits him yet. Hopefully someday that will change but I don't think he could top being Niles Crane.

BTW, I watched this interview and he really does seem like a nice guy. Of course I'd love to find out for myself! Loved when Kelly mentioned "Frasier" and her co host asked "What's that?"

Have I mentioned that I SO wish I could go see "Close Up Space" In NYC? Sigh...

Why don't you? Why don't you??? That would be your best shot to get that hug and a photo with him and an autograph, and if you make it a short trip, it's actually not too terribly expensive. I know that's a long flight for you, but enlist yourself a travel agent to try to get the very lowest fare possible, then watch online for deals on tickets to the show... sometimes you can get in on group rates with other people and get a lower price. I've done this before, can you tell? And I'll tell you what, after you've met him, spoken to him, gotten an autograph and a picture taken and gotten your hug, you'll wonder why you ever considered not doing it! I've been to NYC twice on star gazing/chasing trips, and there's no way I would ever trade the experience of meeting the people I met and seeing the shows I saw. The autographs and pictures hang on my wall and evoke really nice memories for me. I'd go again in a heartbeat. In fact, I probably will sometime in the new year, because two of my all time favorite stars are on Broadway right now and I'd love to try to hit both shows in one trip (if I can make it work out financially-- some of those shows are expensive and I wouldn't be able to go if I can't find discounts!) Anyway, just a word of encouragement from me.

Sigh... I love your encouragement but if I wasn't so restricted on when I can take time off from work. However... last Thursday, I sent a HUGE envelope to the theatre with DHP's name on it... there's no way that they could miss it! And put a smaller (8x10) envelope inside of it (SASE of course). I wrote him a long letter, but managed to use only one sheet of paper (front and back) and even included a Christmas card for him and Brian and their families I remembered what you said about writing "Fan Mail" on the front of the main envelope which is what I did, so I'm PRAYING that this works.... and as always I can't thank you enough for your help! I promise that one of these days I am going to meet this man... and get my hug, I hope!

If I get a reply back, I will definitely share it with everyone on the board! Keep your fingers crossed for me... although I don't want to be too optimistic! Doing so always upsets me if things don't work out. Sigh...

Oh... but did I mention that the musical that DHP directed in Jersey is coming to a theatre in Issaquah, WA in March? He's not going to be there, but since Brian Hargrove (his partner) wrote it, I had to mention it in the letter that I'm going to see it! All the reviews I've read have been awesome and I can hardly wait!

That's great! I'm so excited for you! I can just envision your big envelope propped up on his dressing room table just waiting for him to come in and find it. Someone else probably opens it for them, but then they'll leave it for him to read. Give it a few months... I got my autographed photo (from a different star) about 3 months after I sent the card. I had almost forgotten about it, so it was really nice when it showed up. I think he'll send you a photo or something... he seems like SUCH a nice person and I bet he appreciates his fans.

:

Andrea,
I look forward to the voicemail that opens with an incredibly deafening scream, in spite of my already impaired hearing! And I will most definitely want to be there when you open it so I can hug you!

Hey, I came across this post when I was reading some other topics and I thought it was encouraging for you

Thanks everyone for the encouragement! I don't want to be too optimistic, but maybe a little!
