Amazing to find just how popular and widely discussed this show is - remember watching it on Sky as a kid in the 1990s and being scared half to death, yet coming back seven nights later without fail.
It's also interesting to look back on cases a second time with the persepective of an adult, since a child is naturally bound to gravitate towards the conclusion that the show itself would wish them to draw. Quick question - one case that really creeped me out at the time (although in UM terms was not that horrific) was from circa 1993. It basically went:- woman meets guy working as 'supermarket butcher', they start dating and he's a saint, they get married and he turns a bit psycho. She runs away, only to be tracked down by a PI hired by her husband. They later showed some of the re-enactment as part of the intro. Does anyone else remember this one and if the fella was caught or not? Anyway, been reading on here for a week or so and seen some brilliant posts - so thanks for informing, educating and indulging my curiosity... |

That case you mentioned sounds like Jim Burnside, who stabbed his wife Annette to death in the parking lot of her job and shot her male companion with a shotgun (he lived).
