Cool Walt Disney Television

Once upon a time, 15 years ago, a life-long Disney enthusiast named Bill Cotter wrote a book, which I proudly own, called The Wonderful World of Disney Television, spanning the entire history of Walt Disney Television.

In the book, Bill details showographies of EVERY single TV series ever produced by Walt Disney Television, from the Disney anthology series to 1990s Disney sitcoms such as Home Improvement, The Golden Girls, & Empty Nest.

Per the book, here is a partial list of TV Series produced by Disney.

1. The Wonderful World of Disney
2. The Mickey Mouse Club
3. Zorro
4. The Mouse Factory
5. The Adventures of The Gummi Bears
6. Teen Win, Lose or Draw (Stone Stanley Productions & Disney Channel)
7. Contraption (A Disney Channel Original Production)
8. The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
9. The Golden Girls (A Witt Thomas Production for Walt Disney Television)
10. Empty Nest (A Witt Thomas Production for Walt Disney Television)
11. Hermans Head (A Witt Thomas Production for Walt Disney Television)
12. Home Improvement (Wind Dancer Productions & Walt Disney Television)
13. Americas Funniest Home Videos (An ABC Entertainment Production)
14. Lost
15. Spin City (UBU Productions & DreamWorks Television)
16. Fraggle Rock (Home Box Office & Jim Henson Television)
17. The Muppet Show (A Jim Henson Television Production)
18. Jim Hensons Muppet Babies (Marvel Productions & Jim Henson Television)

FYI: The Muppet Show & all related titles were bought by Disney in February 2004; Fraggle Rock was owned by Disney from 1991-1996; and Americas Funniest Home Videos was bought by Disney in August-September 1995.

I hope this info is accurate & informatve, and thanks for reading.

I wish that Disney would release "Disneyland/Wonderful World of Color" on Blu-Ray or DVD with seasons sometime soon, or have them back on The Disney Channel once Disney Junior gets launched!

I wish the entire 1986-1988 ABC series The Disney Sunday Movie would come to DVD. It felt like the early version of the 1997-2008 series. And plus, it was fun watching Michael Eisner (during his better days) host the intros.

That's why I would like to see a "Vault Disney Channel" which not only includes The older stuff from Disney, but shows from "The Disney Afternoon".

But first...it should be shown on "Disney on Demand" this is what comcast did with NickRewind, now it's a part of Teenick (One Day it might be its own station), have shows like "Ducktales", "Darkwing Duck", and "Bonkers" on Disney on Demand.

Second...have a reserved spot for "The Disney Afternoon" on The "Disney" Channel, maybe Late-Night since Gen-Y usually are awake at this time. Maybe have one night reserved for "Disneyland/Wonderful World of Color".

Because I'm sick of stations selling-out and I'm glad that some stations know that new isn't always better!

I second the motion to have The Wonderful World of Color/Disney released on DVD. During the Fall us East-Coasters would get the short-end of the stick because the NFL Games would overrun their schedules and NBC would join Disney "In Progress" There were times we'd only see one part of a Two-Parter because the Game would last an hour longer than it was scheduled. (I'm certain this is why this beloved series was eventually cancelled, as viewers simply gave up watching it.) I remember one episode that was a two-parter that was overrun on both weeks, those of us who lived in the Eastern and Central Time Zones got to see 15 minutes of part one and 10 minutes of part two! Only recently I got to see that episode in its entirity, thanks to a Bootleg DVD.
