Default Why does ABC keep showing "A Charlie Brown Christmas" With Scenes Edited Out?

And why do we have to take it?

Is the full uncut special going to be shown later this month? Does anyone know?

They edit it to make room for that dumb Disney Prep and Landing. I don't know why they pair that with Charlie Brown. They should just show two Charlie Brown specials together and show the other junk another night.

Just get the DVD, they're cheap and plentiful.

ABC's edited version of A Charlie Brown Christmas is a joke. I hope they lose the rights and another network picks it up.

There's no good reason why they can't air the uncut Peanuts and Grinch specials in a half-hour slot. Greed is what's keeping them from doing it. God forbid they lose a few minutes of commercials a year.

Watching it on DVD is the best way to go, IMO. I never watch on network TV anymore. Just ruins it for me. It's not that long of a show to begin with, so why edit out anything?

No, they have the unedited Charlie Brown Christmas, followed by Charlie Brown Christmas Tales and Prep & Landing 7 minute short all in the 8-9pm hour on Dec. 15.

I don't bother with the ABC airings since I bought the Peanuts 1960's Collection a couple of years ago, you get A Charlie Brown Christmas, It's the Great Pumpkin and a handful of other great Peanut specials uncut. Highly recommended set.

I had the old Paramount DVD of A Charlie Brown Christmas up until a few years ago, when it was stolen from me. I plan on having all my favorites on Blu-ray by next Christmas, though.

Just waiting for the rights to lapse? Hallmark and LMN are dominating with the seasonal programming and the networks are falling behind big time.
