Here's a fun activity you might want to try next time you're watching one of your favorite shows.

Have you ever watched a certain show, particularly involving a famous sitcom family from the 50s or 60s (and there were some great ones in TV's early years), and wished to yourself, "If only my family was more like theirs" or something like "I wish that (he/she) was my(mother/father/sister/brother) instead of my real(mother/father/sister/brother)." Well then, why not try it right now, just for fun. All you have to do is pick anyone from any TV sitcom from the past or present and 'adopt' them as your own to create what essentially is your ideal family. All you have to do is pick:

1 mother, 1 father, any number of sisters or brothers, plus any additions you think would be necessary to form an extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, family pets, etc.)

Just for fun, here's who I would have in my family:

Father: Steve Douglas (My Three Sons)

Mother: June Cleaver

Brothers: Wally Cleaver, Richie Cunningham, and Ernie Douglas.

Sisters: Jan Brady, Bobbie Jo Bradley (Petticoat Junction), and Mary Ann (Gilligan's Island).

Family Pet: ALF

Girlfriend/future wife: Polly Williams Douglas (My Three Sons)

OK, now it's your turn.

Mine actually includes some newer sitcom people...

Father - ? I can't think of one...nobody can beat my own dad I guess

Mother - Maggie Seaver

Brothers - Will Smith (adopted), Richie Cunningham, Keith Partridge, Mike Seaver

Sisters - Joanie Cunningham, Kelly Bundy, DJ Tanner

Family Friend - Arthur Fonzarelli

Uncle - Jesse Katsapolis
