Sure, she was desperate to get married, but Rhoda didn't quite have that success keeping a marriage together. Why was that? Was she too needy? Was it her family?

I do not think that she was really desperate, but eager to get married. When the subject of the status of the relationship came up, Joe wanted to simply live together, since he had already had a failed marriage. Instead, Rhoda did want to get married, since she wanted a more secure relationship. Of course there are contributing factors from each person, but it seems that the marriage fell apart mostly because Joe became "restless" and wanted to go off by himself.

The writers seemed to make it all clearly Joe's fault but the rush to get

married so quickly didn't help.

I felt sorry For David Groh as the Joe character went form being Mr Nice Guy

to selfish jerk in one epiosde in season3,the viewers as we know hated it.

Mostly that she married a yutz (& her pushy tummelah mother didn't help)

Rhoda was a nice looking and pleasant gal - pity she had such crummy luck.
