Yes I do have a DVD player and this brings me to a question that I have. As DVDs become increasingly popular, more and more TV shows will begin putting episodes on DVD. I've already noticed many classic TV series like "Andy Griffith", "The Lucy Show", "Dick Van Dyke" and "The Beverly Hillbillies" on DVD featuring about half a dozen of their best episodes. This has led to a growing trend where many of today's favorites like "The Sopranos", "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", and "Sex in the City" are putting out whole seasons of episodes on DVD. This makes me wonder: When will the older shows like the ones I mentioned above follow this trend and which "vintage" shows might be the first ones to exploit it?

Yes, I have one of those Panasonic DVD/VCR combos which really aren't that good of a deal. The VCR was consistently damaging tapes so I have to buy a new one.
M*A*S*H season 1 is out on DVD already with other seasons to follow I guess. All in the Family season 1 I believe is coming out in March. The 'seasonal' sets are definitely the way to go. |

I have three DVD players. I have one on my laptop, one on another computer and one hooked up in the family room. I have a feeling that the more DVD's are released, the more obsolete VCR's are going to get. That is unless companies release video's with bonus footage and stuff in the future.

Got mine two years ago. Haven't gone back to VHS since.
And I don't think I'll ever watch a movie in pan & scan again. Widescreen is ALWAYS the way to go. |

Not yet! I have a library of VHS tapes that I'm not ready to give up on yet!
