Thumbs down Hot In Cleveland....Not So "Hot" Anymore?!?

TV Land’s first original series Hot In Cleveland opened its third season with 1.9 million viewers last night. That was down from the show’s second season premiere in January, which drew 2.95 million viewers, from the launch of the Season 2′s second part in June (2.4 million), and of course from Hot In Cleveland‘s monster series debut in summer 2010, which drew 4.8 million viewers. Hot In Cleveland‘s second season premiere led to the debut of TV Land’s latest original sitcom, The Exes, which logged 1.4 million viewers. That was down from the premiere of the network’s most recent new original entry, Fran Drescher’s Happily Divorced, which launched with a 2.4 million viewers behind the summer premiere of Hot In Cleveland and was subsequently renewed for a second season. Note: An earlier version of the story included cume numbers for the Hot In Cleveland (3.7 million) and and The Exes (2.9 million) premieres which were mistakenly released as premiere numbers by TV Land.

I loved it in the beginning but it got annoying by the 2nd season, iirc.

I have nothing against the show, but I don't watch it,it is over-rated and not nearly as good as the older tv shows.Plus lets face it I think alot of folks have altogether stopped watching TVLand and are viewing stations like Antenna and Me-TV instead. And of course the obscene amount of commercials TVLand airs probably finally chased away alot of viewers.

It's one of the shows my wife and I like watching together. I love all the guest appearances.

The summer ratings will always be better than the winter ones. There's just too much competition. I hear that USA Network's winter shows are also down.

This is not the best project of whoever the Executive Producer/Writer of this show! Her previous show was way better than this show and there were many fans watching that show back then! It was messed up and discontinued in the wrong time by those stupid TV critics, who did not see how many fans watching!

I have ALWAYS loved Valerie Bertinelli and everything she ever did. I was once the biggest fan of "Frasier" and all it's cast members. Betty White's contibution to the Mary Tyler Moore can never be over-stated and "Shoot Me" was what I was looking at every Tuesday night because it was THAT good. But "Hot in Cleveland" is PURE TRASH. GARBAGE. A throw-away television series. An excuse for the 4 main cast members to cash a weekly check and nothing even remotely more than that.

There is a better project than Frasier, that needs to be rebooted in the future.

The thing about "Cleveland" that really irks me is the fact their on TVLAND,whose original portense was to air only truly CLASSIC programs.I have this same dilemma with their airings of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "King Of Queens",two sitcoms I greatly enjoy and admire and admit will officially be "classic" some day,but I don't understand how they can have them on the same schedule with "Andy Griffith","MASH" and "Dick Van Dyke".Just don't seem right.

The best project of the Executive Producer/Writer of this current show, was like Popular and Do Over, back then. All three of them need to be rebooted in the future. You should know what I am talking about.

I dont watch the show but the ratings that are mentioned in the first post is from 2011. If this is still true in 2013, maybe the show isnt doing that well because they burned through a lot of episodes and seasons in a couple of years. I also think, having it plugged after every commerical break of every show, every day of the week doesnt help either.

The show's doing fine. It's going to be going to syndication soon. This show is about the only good thing that's on TV Land...It's the only show I watch on it.

Now it is time for me to bring this up:

Is anybody familiar with these shows: Popular, Maybe It's Me and Do Over?

If so, these three needed rebooting in the future.

How long do the episodes runs without commercials? Last time I watched TVLand which was at least a year ago ( I used to watch it a lot) it was repetitive episodes of the same show, edited to pieces, with endless commercials. TVLand no longer resembles the original concept which seems to be a Viacom rule.
