Thumbs up Best Finale Ever (Spoilers)

It just about took my breath away. When Sophia came out of the barn, I didn't know how to feel. All the time that they spent looking for her, and she's a walker. It was heartbreaking. I know Shane has leadership qualities, and I guess Rick killed Sophia to prove that he still could lead. Excellent finale. I just love this show!

I watched the aftershow. One of the producers said something about not showing Rick shooting Sophia directly. I could have sworn he said that they 'couldn't' show it. I'm wondering if there's some sort of a child's law on the books regarding that?

Thumbs up

That's why I love "The Walking Dead". I can't wait for the show to come back.

I love how they throw things like this in so people who are familiar with the graphic novels will be surprised too.

Regarding shooting children, I've seen something like that happen on a pretty recent show "The Shield" when Anthony Anderson shoots a little girl that was tied to a chair.

It was done like that when you didn't see the bullets going in, so there might be laws but I'm not sure.

I disagree that Shane has leadership qualities. I think he's a loudmouth coward. I think Rick shot Sophia because he felt responsible for what happened to her.

I agree with this....Shane can't be trusted considering what he did to Otis, and I can see him shooting anyone else in the group if it means his survival.

He knew it was both of them or Otis. He's just living in his new world.

My husband told me about the finale and how sad it was. Personally the show is a bit too gory for me, but I try to watch it when I can stomach it. I think Rick is so handsome! Just sayin... But my husband said he saw another episode where they had to shoot a little girl and it moved him to tears! Wow... I've never heard that from him about ANYTHING!

Since the discovery of the walkers in the barn, I actually kind of had a hunch that Sophia might be in there. It didn't take away from the intensity of the last few minutes of the episode, though.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on him. In my opinion, with Shane having an injured ankle Otis was outrunning him. He shot Otis to slow him down and turn him into a walker buffet so he could save his own sorry tuchus. Saying he did it to save the kid was just a rationalization for his cowardly actions.
