The Stevens' Christmas Trees - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It's no secret that Bewitched is my favorite 1960's sitcoms and one of my favorite shows in general, so I may be a little biased. However, IMO the Stevens' had some the prettiest Christmas trees in sitcom history. They always had a big beautiful real tree with tinsel, big bright lights, and pretty decorations. Also, there always seemed to be snow falling outside that just really added to the beauty. Who agrees?

I can vaguely remember the Christmas episodes of Bewitched but what a great excuse to watch them! From your description it sounds wonderful!

Yes, they did always have a tree at Christmas, unlike some of my other favorite family shows like "Leave It To Beaver", a conservative family show that never once had a Christmas tree--go figure.

And one thing I always like about the Bewitched XMAS shows is that Samantha is so close to Santa Claus. She always made everyone around her feel so warm on Christmas. Sony should put out a DVD of just the Bewitched Christmas shows and I bet it would be a big seller.

The only season I don't remember the XMAS show would be the very last one--season 8. I own seasons 1 - 7 on DVD and don't plan to purchase season 8. Did they have a Christmas show the last season?

Yes, I agree. The Stephens did have some pretty Christmas trees. And I loved it when Sam brought the Christmas tree home by shrinking it down to size and putting it in her purse.
