'Community' Voted Fan Favorite Show & Is Awarded the Next Cover Of TV Guide

TV Guide has announced the show that won its annual Fan Favorite Poll and will grace the cover of the magazine’s Dec. 5 issue.

NBC’s “Community” is the winner of the second annual poll, after almost 300,000 votes were cast via the publication’s Facebook page. The poll featured 10 nominees along with a write-in option.

“Community” won despite a midseason hiatus, the publication noted, adding that the voting was “incredibly tight.”

The Dec. 5 issue will come with three collectors’ covers featuring the cast of “Community,” the magazine reports.

Gillian Jacobs, one of the stars of “Community,” said: “Because we don’t get nominated for awards, this is our fans’ outlet to tell us that they care. They may not see us win Emmys or SAG Awards, but they do have the power in something like this to vote, and you see a lot of people care about our show.”

Other nominees listed in the poll were “Chuck” (NBC), “Dexter” (Showtime), “Game of Thrones” (HBO), “Revenge” (ABC), “Person of Interest” (CBS), “Ringer” (CW), “The Walking Dead” (AMC), “The Vampire Diaries” (CW) and “Terra Nova” (Fox).
