It has been said that WPIX in NYC is a nationwide channel and I have trouble believing that so I would like to know

Do you have WPIX and not live in the New York City area?

I don't get it, but Dish network offers it in a superstation package for 7 dollars a month. I thought about getting the package, but all 5 stations in the package show about the same thing.

This Link will take you to the current C-Band satellite chart. You'll find WPIX on AMC-3, transponder 9. This means that anyone in the U.S. with a C-Band satellite system and digital receiver can also get the channel. I have one myself but haven't used it in years.
