Since "Friends" became a blockbuster its first year on Thursdays, no other new show released that night has succeeded to the point of actually being called a hit. Since fall of '95, there's been: "The Single Guy"; "Caroline in the City"; "Suddenly Susan"; "The Naked Truth"; "Veronica's Closet"; "Jesse"; "Union Square"; "Stark Raving Mad"; and "The Weber Show".

It wasn't until they started having established sitcoms from other nights like "Just Shoot Me", "Third Rock from the Sun"; and "Will and Grace" in those slots, that it started to pick up.

Call it a hunch, but I'd bed my life savings "Inside Schwartz" gets cancelled its first year.

I never realized what you wrote until now. Im thinking Inside Schwarts will be cancelled as well. It looks better then Scrubs to, they should have put it on Tuesdays instead. But it seems like a Thursday show. Hmm.

Why don't they just air Friends back to back? I think they expect too much from that time slot, most shows that have aired in that time slot have gotten decent ratings.

The show Emiril looks like it will make a fast exit also.

Emeril looks like a good show. Im watching it. I hope its good and if it is, i hope it doesnt get cancelled.
NBC must cancel at least one show every year. They must not expect the best if they are already talking about 2002-2003 season shows.

I also forgot "Fired Up" with Sharon Lawrence was a new show cancelled on NBC Thursdays.
