Hi. A friend of mine was filmed with her entire family as part of an Unsolved Mysteries episode in Cheboygan, Michigan. This is a town in the northern part of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan situated on Lake Huron. She's trying to find that episode as a family keepsake, but doesn't know what the episode was about. She knows it was in the late 1980s or early 1990s. I've done some web searches with no luck, and thought perhaps someone who knows this series well might remember. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you know if it was a criminal case, a Lost Loves (looking for missing family members), or a parental abduction?
This was a Lost Loves from Flint, MI. I suppose it's possible some family members may have been in Cheboygan, but it's a long shot. http://unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/w...of_Faith_Brown |

Here's one that I think had reunited some family members in St. Clair Shores, MI (or a city nearby). This is a long way from Cheboygan and is probably not the case.

The only thing that sticks out in my mind is that Patsy Ramsey (late mother of JonBenet Ramsey) was from Cheboygan. Could that have been the connection?

Here's a listing of UM stories that took place in Michigan. I don't see any stories that specifically took place in Cheboygan, but it's entirely possible that UM decided to film some scenes for a Michigan-related story there.

Weird thought, but my cousins are from St. Clair Shores and moved to Cheyboygan. She doesn't remember anything except the couple that went missing off their boat a few years ago, and the female's body was found but the male's never was. Otherwise it's a quiet town.
JonBenet's family lived in Charlevoix, not Cheboygan - opposite side of the state. |

Hold up your left hand in front of you. Cheboygan is at the tip of your pointer finger, and Charlevoix is on the knuckle of your pinky finger

Yep, all michiganders carry around a permanent map of our state, don't we? lol I can't tell you how many times I've used that method when explaining where things are. Twenty years ago, I met a lady from the UP. She told me that it's shaped like a running rabbit and yoopers use that for a map. Still not as cool as our mitten tho.

Lana Stempien and Charles Rutherford? Not sure if that case was featured on UM, but it fits.
