Baby dolls that curse.Yes,you heard me right.According to www.msn.com,Toys RUS is now selling a baby doll for 2-3 year olds,that curses.And they have no intention,despite all the complaints,of discontinuing and removing the doll from the stores.Any comments?

That's awful. It sets such a bad example for small children. Do they really want toddlers going around cursing? Small children tend to mimick what they hear.

I looked up those dolls and yes, it does sound like it is saying "crazy b"-word that rhymes with witch. That is not right, even if it just "sounds" like it and is not saying it, Toy's R Us should remove these things.
If they don't I will never shop at Toy's R Us again. I am debating whether to shop there anyway even if they do remove them just because of their defiant attitude about not removing them in the first place. They should have more sense that this.

What I don't understand is, what's the point in even creating a doll that curses? Or even sounds like its cursing? The should know that that would upset a lot of people. And second, why would Toys R Us even be interested in selling something that they know many people are not going to buy.

There seems to be a serious lack of common sense here.

Thank God I don't have children and never planning on having any and if so...it's going to be a son (even if I decide to just adopt...can single people adopt a child)?

Because if I have a doll that says "****", "****", "****", or any other 4-letter word...I'll just let them watch "South Park" or "Family Guy"!

I hope responsible parents will not buy them. Hopefully, if they don't sell, they will be removed. There is already too much stuff on tv kids don't need to hear or see. They don't need to hear bad things from their dolls.

I feel the same way, although I'm not panning on adopting either. But I'm pretty sure that you could adopt one if you are single.

That is just ridiculous. But people will buy them, probably for the "novelty" or for a "conversation piece" but inevitably kids will play with them and mimic them. As if we don't have enough adults running around and cursing in front of kids in today's world.

Toys R Us made a statement saying that the dolls just say random baby talk and not any curse words, and that they will not be removing it from the shelves.

It's real. Just do a search for "Toys R Us cursing doll" or something to that effect, and a lot of links will come up. Or just do the same search on Youtube and you can see for yourself right there.

I don't know what is wrong with Toys R Us! It is NOT baby talk. You can hear the other sounds the dolls make that is baby talk(goo goo type of thing), but then you hear this and it is definitely not just baby gibberish.

That Confirms it. I hope there is enough of an outcry to convince Toys R Us to discontinue this abomonation. I'll place that along with the "Stripper Pole" one outfit advertised in a Toy Catalog a year or two ago.
