If you want to see some interesting responses to this question, go back to page 4 and look for the topic "Color or Black and White?" Regardless of the fight that broke out, there were good responses in there.

Gee I don't if I would care for Lucy in color. That would be like a new show. Gosh it has been always seen in b&w for so long, color would look funny.

I Love Lucy was produced in b&w, not color. I think it would be cool if I could see a color episode though, but I prefer good 'ol b&w. Especially if I could see the grape stomping episode in color, that would really be cool.
