Ok.. first off... i do NOT appreaciate your attitude towards me...

HELLOO!!!! it was the writers who gave her the smart ass comments to say back at Blair.. it was the writers who came up WITH the idea of jo.. it was the casting director and director who FOUND nancy.. so don't even go all telling me it was all Nancy's doing that raised the ratings.. IT WAS EVERYTHING!! the cast cut back... the DAMN good writers... the new attitude of the show... the new setting... it was NOT just nancy!! I will admit that her CHARACTER is waht helped the show IN SMALL.. but it was NOT nancy!!! So you just lay off your smart little butt and better watch your step.. becuase i will NOT tolerate this insulting ONE BIT!!! so DON'T even go there!!! cuz I WILL!!!

and to the rest of you... especially the 2 who stood up for me on the other thread... thanks for being soooo nice to me!!

I hope I'm not either, I just voiced an opinion and tried to make some peace. I say, just let it go.....all this threatening is disturbing. Nancy is just a person like you and me.

I can see your frustration about all the "Nancy" posts on the board. And I've contributed. I've also contributed alot of FOL stuff too. I really don't know what to say about it. But I do know that I'd like to see everyone getting along. And I am not one of the ones who will "start" something or attack someone else based on an opinion I don't like. Then again if something is said to me unfairly, rudly or foul language is used towards me, I'll probably say something, in a mature way.

Ok, I'm done. Lets all try and calm down and just go with it.

ok ur going to have to face the fact that nancy/jo is probably most liked actress/character on the facts of life. she is my favorite and always will be but grow up and stop acting like a child b/c everyone likes nancy. nancy is a great person and so is everyone the show. i like everyone from the show but give nancy her credit, she did raise the ratings and even the writers and producers said that on the e true hollywood story and that she got the most fan letters. just b/c u don't like her doesn't mean u have to act like that.

DITO (to the NOT everyone likes nancy) because i actually do not like any other character that Nancy played (well except she was ok on High School USA) and i have to admit i have only seen 5 minutes of ONE ep of the division and THAT'S it!! 5 minutes EVER!

And to answer you'r question about why i can't let thigns go... well i never got to reply to Nancy McKeon Fan's little... THREAT to me because the thread was closed before i saw it.. and i was QUITE outragged that she got all up in my "computer" face and was dising me becuase i wasn't obsessed with nancy like her... my goodness! the only thigns i know she's been in are High School USA, Poison Ivy, and Division... the only reason i like HSU and PI is becuase i absolutely ADORE MJF.... i LOVE back to the future.. and i was actually outraged when i learned that people only started watchign FT and Back the to Future's and Doc Hollywood and Spin City BECUASE he went out with Nancy McKeon... i never knew that until i saw the E! True Hollywood Story and i had seen all the MJF movies basically (including HSU.. but not PI) and so, back to my answer, i just had to tell her what i thought of her "YOU'RE NOT A TRUE FOL FAN CUZ YOU DON'T LIKE NANCY" indeas... and please do not tell me that EVERYONE likes Nancy... i personally could care less if she was on the show and somebody else played jo.. but you DO realize that if somebody else... say Valerie Bertenellie or what about Tracey Gold (LoL)... you would be obsessed with THEM! ok.. i am done.. but do NOT tell me who i like and who i dont! thank you!!

Look, we all have our opinions, and we all are not going to agree all the time. But if we can all just respect each other's opinion and leave them be, I don't see where we could have a problem and fights and arguing, etc...

People who are not Nancy/Jo fans: It's fairly obvious that a majority of people like Nancy/Jo over the other FOL actresses/characters, and that means that a majority of the posts are going to be about her or related to her. My suggestion is you start more posts on the characters you want to talk about. This is simply a matter of taste, no one actress/character is better than the other...it's like asking which is better...chocolate or vanilla? It's not a matter of fact, it's a matter of opinion.

Nancy/Jo fans: Hey, it's nice being in the majority and having opinions that many others share here, but I don't see the need for cockiness or ganging up on people because they don't agree with the majority. While I personally do think it was Nancy who did help the show get its ratings, she's hardly soley responsible. It took her, the other cast members, awesome writers, smart casting directors, good directing, and many other things for FOL to be the success it was.

This is an excellent example of people who take things WAY too seriously.

Don't let other people's comments or opinions bother you so much, it will eat you up inside. In the end, this is just a TV show AND one that went off the air nearly 15 years ago!!! No need to get so upset if other people's opinions differ from your own. Express your opinion in a calm, intelligent manner. Then let it go!!!

I frequent some soap opera message boards and I must say that they are much worse than anything I've ever seen on these boards. Many soap fans are vicious and bitter about how their favorite star is treated. This is really a symptom of people who need to get a life or possibly get some therapy. I have seen some disturbing behavior on these boards though. I thinks some members of this board are the textbook definition of "obsessed". Case in point, the girl who has the whole thing about the Lisa Whelchel cult in her signature. That's a bit much and I'm sure Lisa Whelchel would also find it unsettling. Ditto Nancy McKeon, I think she would be disturbed by some of the messages.

Go and watch that FOL episode about Tootie and Jermaine Jackson. That says it all really.

Oh Lord here we go for the 39027th time. I'm not a "cult" and have never been part of a cult. That was merely a joke between me and another board member. There is NO Lisa cult. And yes, I'm obsessed. Is that a problem? Well at least I don't go around kicking peoples asses if they don't like Lisa. I used to do that but now I do it in a nicer way. If someone says something bad about Lisa, sure I'll stick up for her but I'm not going all out to jump on the person. It's only their opinion.
