Heart If N&D had a song

Niles and Daphne don't have a song.
If they did, what do you think it would be?

I was thinking

My choice would be Vanessa Williams "Save the Best for Last."

That is an amazing choice! I love that song.

There are several I would choose:

Love of a Lifetime by Fire house. I thought of that song for them and then I saw the video on You Tube. It's amazing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JABZ_CoXmRg

I also really like For The Longest Time by Billy Joel. I found the video for that on You Tube as well and its awesome.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5CAxyFX220&feature=related

I really like At The Beginning by Richard Marx and Donna Lewis. I also found a video of that one as well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSqFLwxfe5c

You Are The Woman by Firefall. There is no Niles/Daphne video for it unfortunately. I will post the video of the song so you know the lyrics, it's a beautiful song. I really feel that it depicts exactly how Niles felt about Daphne from the very beginning.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCXdZU-ScuM&list=FLkOftnCc29lD7EmsZEwGlYw&index=25&feature=plpp_video

Never Thought by Dan Hill is amazing and reminds me so much of Niles/Daphne.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fm6J0NmrHo

Waiting For a Girl Like You by Foreigner is a great song.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrzzR-3PPqw

She Drives Me Crazy by Fine Young Cannibals is a perfect Niles/Daphne song. I won't post the video up here because there is already a thread on here with that video.

I also think that The Glory of Love by Peter Cetera is a perfect song for them.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS4VKa1zpVc

Anymore by Travis Tritt. Just an amazing song.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXr8gxSjmq8

I also think that I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore by REO Speedwagon is a perfect song.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd4j1Ms1VYE

There are more I want to post but I think this is enough for now. I will post more later.

Andress,
Great songs. Expecially the Dan Hill is incredible. I dedicated his Unborn Heart to my wife when we had our first child.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Those are good songs. I like the Firehouse one-- and that video with it is great too.

I was thinking, I wonder if they would consider Gershwin's "They Can't Take That Away From Me" as their song? After all, that's the song they danced to the night everything changed for them, and I would guess if they were out somewhere and there was music and dancing, that they wouldn't dance to that song with anybody but each other. She did say she loved the song, and I'm sure after that night it would trigger something for them.

The lyrics fit really well too... not only for that evening before Niles would be losing his one true love to some other man, but they still fit for after they didn't let each other get taken away. I wonder if the writers picked that song on purpose or if that's just the song that happened?

Imagine:

She rinsed the last dish and found a towel to help him finish drying. David was down for the night, soft music wafted from the stereo, and a sky full of stars was just beginning to fill the kitchen window. She could hardly wait to lead him to the living room and the fireplace for a relaxing, romantic evening. Just as she finished drying the last plate, the first familiar notes began to fill the air, reminding her of the time they filled her heart too.
"I love this song."
That sweet, crooked smile slid across his lips, and she felt the intimate rush of joy and love wash over her as his eyes connected with hers.
"Well... where are my manners?"
The electricity of his touch often still affected her, and she drew a breath first when his hands found her waist, and again when he pulled her close. She closed her eyes and let the dance and the song take her back. The kitchen became that hotel and that evening, and he became him, the same sense of longing and helplessness flowing between them once again. She felt his love for her as it was that night, and his overwhelming sadness. It captivated her, and she pressed closer to him and traced her lips up his jawline to his ear.
"Thank you for not giving up on us that night, Niles."
With that, his breath changed, and abandoning the dance, he angled his head until their lips came together. His kiss was powerful and passionate, and every uncertainty, every heartache from that evening rightfully and instantly melted back into the enduring, ardent, predestined love that was born that night. Without sparing a moment to catch her breath, she turned in his arms and walked him through the kitchen door to the living room and the waiting fireplace.

Sorry. I'm an awful romantic.

Wow... you should make that into a story and post it on fanfic.net! I'm melting just reading that!

I have a ton of songs I could suggest for Niles and Daphne...

The first being the obvious "Heart and Soul" but also "Just a Kiss" by Lady Antebellum comes to mind. The first time I heard that was last Monday in the car and as soon as I heard the chorus I thought of Niles and Daphne.
But I love that Peter Cetera/Crystal Bernard song "Forever Tonight" as well.

Aw gee thanks I know it doesn't really belong in this thread but I got inspired last night replying here and wrote that down after.

There's a song by Chris Rice called "When Did You Fall?" that I like for them too. It's all about one person finding out someone's been in love with them for a long time and now they like that person too and wants to know when it happened. Let's see... Okay, here it is:
