TV Episodes of "The Brady Bunch" you disliked immensely

Which episodes did you really dislike? The first two seasons had some real good episodes(especially in first season),but most of the episodes from third season on ,were a mixed bag of good ones(likie when in a Mike-less epiisode in which the kids gave Alice the cold shoulder, convincing her to quit-I liked it when Carol, upon learning the truth,REALLY bawled out teen Greg and Marcia),and duds, like when they did the soap commercial, and the equally as dumb one with the late Natalie Schaefer.Anyway, back to the original question:Which episodes did you really dislike?

The Hair-Brained Scheme was the worst.

Soap commercial.
"Old" relatives of Mike and Carol

Those are really the only 2 that I can't stand. Every other episode is excellent in my opinion.

Off the top of my head ...

"The Winner" (Bobby wants a trophy so badly). Two things:

1. Kartoon King delaying the start of the contest TOO MANY TIMES (I lost count, LOL!), and

2. The kids giving him that award at the end. Say what you want, but to me that award wasn't official but rather given out of sympathy. I mean, he didn't get a writeup in the local paper or anything.

Agree! I don't care for the slapstick Tiger/Fluffy chase scene in the Honeymoon or "The Hair Brained Scheme." as well. But the others are good to excellent, and there are many that are outstanding!

Vote for Brady (I don't think I've made it through that one in one sitting ever, but I do remember a continuity error out of this show. Carol tells Marcia that she gave up golf at one point, and 3 seasons later she gave it up so completely that she forgot how to swing a club in "Greg's Triangle".)
Brace Yourself
Juliet Is the Sun

I guess the common theme of these is Marcia crying. I never cared for any sad ep that had a kid or kids crying. One of my favorite eps is "The Show Must Go On". No one cried, got mad, or got hurt feelings, and it was pretty entertaining (Carol & Marcia's song) and funny (Mike & Greg's recital) on top of all that.

The Honeymoon (pilot) is one that I stopped watching long before the DVDs came out.

The ep with Carol's Grandmother and Mike's Grandfather... by far my least favorite episode ever. "Great grandpa Brady"... yeah, apparently he lived nearby, but he only shows up once and is never talked about after that. And I like Florence Henderson, but she was way too annoying as the Great-Grandma. And the make-up looked like a bad high school production.

The Shirley Temple episode. Cindy was way too old by that time to try to make herself into Shirley Temple. Some people say it might have worked better had they used the plot much earlier in the series...maybe so, but the whole idea was just stupid.

The Hare Brained Scheme was really stupid. Robert Reed was correct in his criticism of that episode. Kids trying to sell "hair tonic" was something out of the 1930s, and was way out of place in the mid-1970s. There were plenty of things kids could sell at that time (1970s) to make some extra bucks; comic books were full of such offers. But "hair tonic" was not one of them.

A lot of the earlier eps were stupid. "Dear Libby". Stupid ending.

"Eenie, Meenie, Mommy, Daddy" - what kind of a school would give each kid one ticket only? I admit that the idea of creating a conflict with Cindy was a nice idea, especially since this was a newly minted "blended" family. I don't know, there were probably a lot of better ways to do it, but a school play kept it simple I guess.

"Every Boy Does It Once" - despite the fact that Carol obviously loves him, Bobby allows some stupid TV show to convince him that Carol is an evil stepmother. Who ya gonna believe, the TV or your own eyes?

I don't particularly care for either of the 3 part episodes, or the Cincinnati episode, but that's probably because they were overplayed on TV. I can still watch them.

I was never crazy about the Davy Jones episode, but I was never a Monkees fan. (I like a lot of their music, but the TV show was stupid, and Davy Jones' solo stuff was just garbage)

Sgt Emma - I don't know any real-life identical cousins, but they were all over TV.

Also, I can't stand "Snow White and the Seven Bradys". The kids were way too old to be doing that crap.

I didn't like "Kelly's Kids" but I don't really consider that to be a BB episode anyway.

Don't like "Welcome Aboard" especially the movie studio stuff. Also, Oliver's parents are leaving the country, and they just leave the kid at the Brady's door, honk their horn and drive away? They don't even think it's worth their time to come in to thank Mike and Carol for taking in their stupid brat?

I know this is cliche but I despise most of the Cousin Oliver ones. He just didn't fit and the show was getting older then so anyone they would have brought would have been stinky.

The two that tend to drive me nuts are the one about the hair tonic and the Shirley Temple one. The Shirley Temple Cindy was way too old to be doing that. Another one I don't especially care for is the one with Harvey Klinger. I think it bugs me (no pun intended, lol)that Marcia decided to be someone she is not to appeal to a guy who is way below her league. Also, the one with Jan and the Afro wig.

Not the whole episode but any that have a far fetched storyline or subplot. Basically if it's not likely to happen in real life it annoys me.

They did some silly stuff, but the series overall has a pleasing vibe so I can't really say that I dislike any episode. Even the ones with cousin Oliver don't bother me, although it was pretty clear at that point the series was near the end. The hair tonic episode is OK, again silly stuff but I don't dislike the episode.
