Default Honeymooners 60th DVD Set Question

Hey, I browsed through the forum before posting this because I didn't want to add a thread that would be considered a repeat of previously posted things. But I couldn't find all the information, so I am going ahead and posting this question.

Can anyone (or a few people) post the various disc issues that are being experienced with the 60th anniversary set? I have one copy of my own and my cousin has one and we want to go through all the discs to see if anything is wrong but it would be nice to have a list of what others have noticed to see if it matches up.

So, just a simple list of the discs that people have problems with and what is wrong with them would be cool. If it's too much to ask, forget it.

Discs 1 & 2 = Once the music plays through one time, then the menu's are useable. Not as much a pain as...

Disc 3 = Loads right to the 1st episode "The Prowler". From there you can go to the main menu. Multiple people are reporting that it takes longer to load than others. I for one, when using my Mac, it takes 15 seconds+ to load the menu.

Disc 15 = Bonus: The Honeymooners Episodes Scripts: All scripts are unreadable, blurred. The Missing Pair of Pants: Is the wrong script. They duplicated "Alice's Birthday".

Disc 15 = Bonus: Honeymooners Radio Episodes: Both shows cannot be paused.

All things that could/should have been caught before press.

I personally have sent 3 emails to MPI, asking about disc replacement & posting the scripts online. No reply.

Personally, I can live with the issues with discs 1-3, but I wish they'd do something about the scripts. Aside from the disc issues, there are some inaccuracies in the booklet that should be corrected as well. Also, the Pert Kelton shows don't look as good as the versions shown on the Disney Channel, and a few of the early Audrey Meadows sketches were cropped to remove scratches, but I guess they can't really change those things now. distinctive2012, please let us know if you or your cousin experience any of the same disc issues.

Disc 3 has the worst technical flaw. Because on my player and I'm sure on others, the disc does not play when inserted. One has to press play then it goes right to The Prowler.

Regarding Disc replacement, MPI replied today saying...

"If you can send me your address, we will send out a new copy. We are aware of the problems, and the new units are being manufactured.

Thank you
Niki
MPI Customer Service."

Not sure if this means they are replacing Discs 1, 2, 3 & 15.

I would also like to point out the packaging is very cheap. Mine was all broken and cracked when I opened it. Also.. anyone else feel like they are just about to break a disc when they try to take it out?

That sucks yours was broken. The plastic hubs are very cheap, cheap plastic book thing held by a piece of tape. I really wish they had release the 15 discs each in it's little slim case with artwork like the classic 39 episodes boxset. That would have been amazing.
