I liked Sherry too. I also liked Cam Winston's mom... she was nice and they seemed to enjoy each other's company. And I liked the way they started out just to annoy their sons but then decided they kind of liked each other.

Oh I couldn't stand Sherry, but she was a good character. Marsha Mason played her well. But Ronee was my favorite!

I totally forgot about Cam's mom!! They were great together!

I didn't like Sherry at all! She was annoying and ALWAYS said the wrong thing because she never shut up!

Ronee was my favorite. She was just as quick-witted as Marty and could hold her own with him. I love the eppy where he had a "cardiac episode" and he was afraid to tell her because he thought she'd see him as "old" and dump him and she ended up yelling at him for not telling her!

Ooh yeah, Cora was good too. But Mrs. Moon kind of ruined things for them.

Wendie Malick is a terrific actress, but this was just the wrong role for her. She seemed WAY too young for Martin. Sherry was loud and obnoxious, but she gave the writers something to work with...her tendency to screw up Frasier's love life, her rivalry with Daphne, etc. The only thing that didn't ring true was how Martin would go from a sophisticated woman like Frasier's mom to this banjo strummer.

Actually Wendie Malick played Ronee not Sherry. Marsha Mason played Sherry. But I loved Martin with Ronee, I liked him with Cora too.
