Post Am I getting old?

I'm only merely 21, but practically all of the shows of my early childhood are are or coming to Nick. First Facts Of Life, then Diff'rent Strokes, now Family Ties and Cosby Show. This makes me feel so ancient, LOL. I always thought of N@N as "old peoples shows" and yet now here I am with the shows I watched as a kid on Nick. I still protest Nick's getting Cheers tho. Getting Cheers would be like getting MASH. Yes, it's been off the air for years, but it's still in syndication everywhere. They should wait until the show has been missed for the most part (considering Kelsey is STILL playing Frasier, not quite ready yet) before coming to Nick.

I was thinking about this today actually. I never watched DS or FOL growing up (My mom hates both and I didn't even know FOL existed until last October), but I did grow up on the Cosby Show. I watched that every Thursday night religiously. Family Ties I know I watched it, but I really don't remember any of the episodes. The funny thing is Cheers. It came on at 9 which was my bedtime when I was little. I loved the theme song, still do, and on Thursday nights I got to stay up to listen to the theme song before going to bed! I'm 20 so it is a little bit of a "hey, what's going on here!" look back.

I do agree about Cheers. Frasier needs to end before they bring Cheers to N@N. Cheers characters pop up on Frasier still. Definitely premature. You can watch Cosby in the afternoon on TBS. It seems really premature for those two shows in particular.

Lets face it Y'all. Once you are out of your teens you're OLD. You're over the hill, got nothin to look forward to except work, work, work. No more playin around, no more music, no more video games, no TV, no computer. Nothin but work, work, work till yer about 65 years old. But have a nice day.

Family Ties is coming on September 23,2001 and Cheers, September 30,2001!
That means after Family Ties' marathon the Cheers' marathon starts the next week!Wo Hoooooooo!!!!!!!!I love both shows!I never did like "The Cosby Show" but I love these two shows!Cheers doesn't even come one no where in my area!I only got one ep from when I was in Florida.Their (pensacola's) FOX has it in their local programming block.I hate Frasier! He so hilarious when he was on Cheers but he is just old now.I never saw an epsiode of his show! And they have the nerves to replace the news with that!I can't beleive it!Cosby Show comes in March.I think the shows they are replacing are "I Love Lucy"(which has been a NAN favorite since 1994),Laverne and Shirley(they came in 1999 or 1998),and The Beverly Hillbillies(came just last year;they are leaving prematurely!).
TBH is already on TVL.
ILL is going to TVL on October 15,2001.Exactley 50 years after its premier.
L&S will be nowhere.
They said that The Wonder Years was supposed to be on NAN until Family Ties came but left early to go to TNN.FOL might be here until 2003 so will DS and TC.When Full House,Sabrina,Roseanne, and the Fresh Prince come in 2003-2004 they should have a completly new schedule. If not they will probably have FOL,TC,and DS on late at night. The Jeffersons will probably go in 2002 as like it's sister show AiTF.When NAN gets shows like "Friends" and "Sienfeld" I'll stop watching.

Well, N@N is getting 80's shows to increase ratings, not because you're old. N@N has become interested in the ratings a great deal over the past few years. I am happy Cheers will be there, because I love shows like that. I love FOL, MTM,the Wonder Years as well. I hate Three's Company,DS,etc.

I really do like shows like Seinfeld,Friends,Frasier,Mad About You,ELR,Will and Grace,Just Shoot Me,etc.

Ido agree N@N is getting these shows too soon. However, Cheers isn't shown by me anymore, so I'm very excited. Otherwise, I would have a big problem with it.

You think you're getting old? I'm thirteen and it's really weird when you turn on "Boy Meets World", for example, and see an episode you remember watching the night it premiered.

I'm almost 18 years old, and I never watch any "new" shows anymore. I use to watch all the shows from back in the day though.... And I'll do anything to have them come back on!!!!

Sad

im only 20 and i am already doing the old peeps thing (tryin to stay in the good old days of my child and teen years)

i think n@n and tv land should stay in the 60&70es era. that way they could make a channel devoted to 80&90es. or n@n could just go all 80&90es because tv land is already doing the same stuff as n@n
