Default Can one of these new classic TV networks think outside the box, please?

Enough of the same recycled shows. There are so many series that haven't aired in decades that are worthy of being seen again. Antenna TV is great but most of what they run is out on DVD, complete, uncut and commercial free. How about them getting some of the other Sony shows like Second Hundred Years, Love on a Rooftop, Paul Lynde Show, Occasional Wife, Good Life, Nancy, Needles and Pins, Temperatures Rising, Bridget Loves Bernie, etc. I'd even be happy to see The Hathaways!

Which recycled shows are you talking about? I have a feeling your talking about Married with Children, All in the Family, Good Times, Sanford and Son and The Jeffersons.

Most of these tv stations do seem to air the same shows over and over, with a few exceptions...Car 54, Naked city etc.... Bonanza,Gunsmoke and Rawhide have been beaten long enough. It would be nice to see shows like Run buddy run, Adventures of Hiram holliday or Death valley days for a change.

I would love to see a network running the shows from the 50s, 60s and 70s that do not get aired anymore, if they were ever even rerun at all. Even things like Adventures in Paradise, T.H.E. Cat, NYPD, Felony Squad, San Francisco Beat, December Bride, Pete and Gladys, The Gale Storm Show, Beulah, Whirlybirds, all of the Ziv series. There are literally hundreds of shows that fit into this category as having not been seen in decades.

Is there a list where I can see these shows from the 50s to the 70s? The shows people have mentioned above I have never heard about before.

I would love to see all of these also. Even if they would just show them on weekends or once in a while. There are tons of good shows that have just been forgotten and just sit on the shelves. I guess they mainly want to run more well known shows, as it it all or mostly about ratings. I still give antenna tv a lot of credit so far. Antenna tv is far better than tv land. At least I am lucky that I have seen some of these listed here in reurns on cable decades ago or have traded with collectors for others.

Obviously you're not much of a TV person if you don't own a good reference book on the subject.

Well, I clicked on the link and its fantastic!! There are shows I never heard of before. Btw, if your talking about thinking outside the box, maybe on some shows just show one episode instead of the double block that they show.
