Hi-ya! i'm new here and I LOVE THE DIVISION.and I LOVE JINNY, she is like my FAVIORITE character of the show! But I think, if anyone were to let themselves get in her position in REAL LIFE they are just sad. I mean, i think it's pathetic once you get that low in life...sorry, that's just my opion.

Anyway...loved the new season and i'm glad i found this board! Hope i didn't piss anyone off in this post...

yeah it is pathetic... its supposed to seem that way on the show... if it seemed like a good thing she wouldn't have gona to rehab! Trust me, Ive seen more pathetic alcoholics in my lifetime.

my sister was an alcohalic and did MANY drugs. She was below jinny's position. She is NOT pathetic. People like that just lose control of their lifes. They are addicted to the feeling that the drugs give them. Jinny was just looking for an escape. If you had lived like that you would be too. I'm sorry but this post offends me because I'm VERY protective of my sister and she couldn't stop what she was doing after she got started. For a while she was not going to go to rehab or AA but she decided that it would be a good idea to get sober. She still smokes and is now 18 but I wish she hadn't done any of the things she did because it hurt her worse than I know. I missed her while she was in rehab. It's hard for an alcohalic to stop drinking so don't talk about how "pathetic" they are for letting themselves get that way.

Well my aunt is an alcoholic and used to do drugs but I mean shes 50 and this has been goin on since the 60s, shes starting to litterally loose her mind.. So IMO, thats pretty damn pathetic.

this topic pisses me off! i don't mean to start a fight, but NO BODY, not even the ones that have close relatives, know what it's like to go through an addiction stage......even the rehab and half way house is a living hell! It might be pathetic, but your not hte one to make that decision!!

you have to take into consideration the fact that jinny's mom killed herself and jinny thought she was the reason why she did. she found her mom's body. put yourself in her place...even though you cannot come too close to it. you come home from school expecting to find your mom making rice and chicken for dinner and then you go into the bathroom and you see your mom-dead. with half her head blown off. never to return. ever. no more advice from your mom. no more lectures. no more nothing. like jinny said "she was my damn mother. you only get the one !" are you a new fan or did you see the season finale ? i'm hoping you did. lol. i agree w/ everybody else how other people are more pathetic. at least she's not drinking 50 bottles, smoking 20 packs, snorting up an ounce of coke and shooting up.

but she's getting better. okay.....

Hmmm.....pathetic is NOT a "good choice" word here.....that really offended people, and it was a little rude. People who "get that low"(another BAD choice of words), are NOT pathetic.........

no my aunts pathetic. I dont really care what anyone says but shes pathetic... I mean how can you automatically judge shes not I mean... you dont know her. you dont have to live with her. you dont have to deal with her screaming at you late atnight because shes drunk and she made up some wild story about you trying to make your brothers couch uncomfortable... So there are acceptions to the rule that "Alcs are not pathetic" and my aunt is one. And she knows it.

I wasn't talking about your aunt. I was talking about ANY problem in general. I don't think any1's problems are pathetic, they(as in the person) may be though. (I don't think that made sense)

Take it from her...she knos, yall this is a real disease...its sad, yes, that alcohol can control a person's life, but pathetic...no not pathetic. Its hard to deal with the bad things that happen in life and different people deal with em differently, I myself do have a few drinks when things arent goin too great. Its a real problem folks, but pathetic aint the word to use.
