how many of you were/are suscribed to them? Those that are, do you plan to cancel your membership like A LOOOT of people are doing now that they've raised their prices? If not, why not? I have a suscription to them, but I'm going to cancel it and suscribe to Blockbuster. Not just because of the money, but also because Netflix doesn't have a lot of DVDs and they say AVAILABILITY DATE UNKNOWN. Like seasons 2 and 3 of "THE PATTY DUKE SHOW" and "THE RIFLEMAN" to name 2.

i was with netflix for a few years, but gave it up a couple years ago. Just don't focus much on pop culture much these days. i liked netflix, and was thinking of joining again. This is the first iv'e heard of the price hike, and even though i'm starting to do better financially, i'm not joining after this just out of principal.
i was with blockbuster's mail service for a few, but hated it. At first, it was unlimited store rentals too. When you brought in three of the dvd's by mail, along with the three by mail, you could also get three from the store. They changed that to five from the store a month. After that was the final straw when i'd send movies back, and wouldn't get back any in return from them for a week or longer at a time. i hope they've since gotten better so you can enjoy it. |

I have been a member of Netfix for a long while and I just downgraded my service to 3 at a time dvd only no streaming. They suck because you have to wait a month before being able to rent the new releases.

Member of Netflix, tried Blockbuster but I wasn't impressed by their selection. Also have Netflix streaming as they have quite a few movies available that aren't even on DVD.

We dropped Netflix, not because of the price, and they had great customer service and a user-friendly website. The thing is though, that we would go through long periods of not watching movies, for one reason or another--and in the meantime, you're paying your monthly fee--plus around here we like certain kinds of movies that others don't. For example, my wife likes critically acclaimed movies (whether they're any good or not), and romantic comedies; I like them too, but only to a point. My son and I both like Action/Adventure and Historical/Political movies. I like documentaries and classics (TCM type movies), which the rest of the family can't stand. Basically we weren't using Netflix a whole lot.

I canceled my DVD service with them and just have streaming now. I use it mostly for old TV shows and some movies every now and then. I don't have cable, so the streaming is really good for my family because there is always something to watch. I miss the DVDs some, but most of the movies I want to see are in the redbox so I just rent them there.

I love Netflix so I'm keeping it. I never really watched the streaming much so we're just getting the DVD's. Actually its nice because our membership has actually gone down in price.

if i want to watch a movie these days, i'll usually just go on youtube and watch for free. i'm mostly into older movies anyway, so it works out for me. The fact that i could care less about digital, and picture quality is definitely a good thing. The quality of most videos on youtube is phenomenal to me.
