Okay everybody, here's a challenge... If you where the person in charge, what would be the ULTIMATE Friday Night LIneup of sit-coms? You get 2 hours of programming here, so go wild!4 different shows form all of television history to put on in a solid 2-hour block. Go nuts!

ooooh...I'll play...but only 4 shows?
I would kick it off with Blansky's Beauties, followed by Fish, then Out of the Blue and finish it with Laverne and Shirley. What can I say...I'm a child of the seventies. Now about that Saturday morning line-up...oops, wrong board. Michele |

Well, we are talking Prime Time here! You only have a 2-hour block before an hour-long Drama comes on, and then your local news! SO my ultimate Friday Night prime-time would be Perfect Strangers, followed by Boston Common, Followed by Taxi, and then wrap it all up with an episode of News Radio.
SO where is the board for Saturay Morning Cartoon lineups already? ------------------ Be sure to click here and check out my web page! What else are you gonna do? |

"SO where is the board for Saturay Morning Cartoon lineups already?"
silentbri..I forgot all about you over here! I'm sorry. There is a great Krofft website that has a message board and chat room, however, they are not easy to get to (take a really long time to load). If you are a fan of Saturday Morning and Sid and Marty Krofft, this is the place to be. It will make you laugh in hysterics. This is not a cartoon board though....I am sure that we can find one if we put our heads together. www.livingisland.com |

Yeah, but if you have Happy Days on twice, then you run the risk of getting sick of it. Plus, I always thought of Happy Days as being more of a Thursday Night show, so it couls be the topic of conversation at work or school on Friday and really get things flowing for the weekend! Considering that, here is my new lineup...
8:00 Silver Spoons 8:30 Charles In Charge 9:00 Perfect Strangers 9:30 Night Court You will notice that I have turned my back on some of my perenial favorites in favor of creating a perfect combination of complimentary shows. A show about a rich, childish father and his more mature yet teen-aged son leads the night, followed by a simmilar situation of a dysfunctional family unit, all brought together by the ever wise Chachi. Then, to shake things up a bit, we throw in the slapstick anticks of Balki and his Cousin Larry, who also fall intot he "family" category while showing yet another side of how a family unit can work. Then, to top off the night, we have Night Court. Night court shows us the importance of friends, and how friends can sometimes be even closer than family. ------------------ Be sure to click here and check out my web page! You Wish? What was that one? Was that the short-lived sitcom with Arsenio Hall as a genie on it? I don't seem to remember it...
...But your post has sparked an idea for tomorrow's posting! Hoo boy, I can hardly wait! ------------------ Be sure to click here and check out my web page! What else are you gonna do? |

you wish...It was a sitcom on for like a season on Friday nights on TGIF. I don't know who was the star. Might have been arsinial hall (however you spell that). It was really funny though (hey I should put that in the obscure sitcoms). I can't wait for tommorrows topic! I will probably post one too. The more the merrier! Right?
see ya~The T. |

Ahh, Chico and the Man... Thank you, TV Land! Since I started this thread oh so long ago, my tastes have changed a little bit. So far, it looks like N@N's "Revenge of the 80's" is going to be just about the most perfect line-up EVER, unless they could possibly add in some Punky Brewster!

Well, if you know me well enough, I could do with two straight hours of Laverne & Shirley... but to make OTHER people happy...
Laverne & Shirley The Facts of Life Happy Days WKRP in Cincinnati (I'm sooo excited TNN started airing this! I love this show!) All episodes will be aired uncut. No episodes skipped ::coughs "Nick at Nite":: ------------------ "Well, Laverne is sort of childish" -Shirley "Childish? Childish? Coming from a grown woman who throws tea parties for her stuffed cat!" -Laverne "Well at least I don't sew L's on everything I wear!" -Shirley "Well that would be pretty stupid considering your name's Shirley!" -Laverne |
