In a book, a Black man says that a basketball recruiter was obviously trying to recruit him just because he was black. The man played dumb and asked, 'What's basketball?" LOL.

his girlfriend later said something along the lines of "You go boy! You showed that man and put him in his place!"

in Stephen King's Misery - unlike the wuss-out scene in the movie - after Annie Wilkes catches Paul sneaking out of his room she decides to "hobble" him by chopping off one of his feet with an axe.

the line in the book: 'Don't worry,' she said, and her eyes were gentle. 'I'm a nurse.' she then chops the foot off and cauterizes it, remaining completely calm and cold throughout.
