Last week, Full Moon CEO Charles Band posted some photos on his official Facebook page from his launch party for fullmoonhorror.com

It included a Full Moon Store where many Full Moon merchandise was sold.

One of the pictures posted included a teaser poster for the tenth Puppet Master sequel Axis Rising.

New Details on Charles Band’s PUPPET MASTER X

Veteran genremeister Charles Band has been shepherding the PUPPET MASTER franchise for over two decades now, and he’s taking an even more active role in the latest entry, PUPPET MASTER X: AXIS RISING.

Fango got the word that for the very first time in the series’ history, Band will be pulling the puppet strings himself, directing PUPPET MASTER X, which will begin shooting in Los Angeles soon for a targeted fall release.

The film is a follow-up to the previous China-lensed PUPPET MASTER: AXIS OF EVIL, though the storyline directly continues that of PUPPET MASTER III: TOULON’S REVENGE, the Nazi Germany-set entry directed by David DeCoteau that is widely considered the series’ high-water mark.

This time, classic killer playthings Blade, Jester, Pinhead, Leech Woman and Tunneler (which are being resculpted for this entry for the closest possible fidelity to their original incarnations) confront four new villainous toys, including Blitzkrieg and Bombshell (pictured below), plus two more to be revealed soon.

Full Moon Features is offering fans a chance to be part of the production and get their names listed on screen as executive producers of PUPPET MASTER X. The offer is being made available for the first time as part of the company’s annual 50% Off Valentine’s Day Sale at its official website, starting today and continuing through Wednesday, February 15.

In addition, Full Moon will be launching a campaign at Kickstarter.com soon allowing people to contribute for various rewards, the top prize being the chance to visit the PUPPET MASTER X set and watch the toys in action.

Full Moon Features will also be present at San Diego’s Comic-Con in July, bringing along several exclusive releases to be announced. Keep an eye out for further developments.

Puppet Master X: Axis Rising will be coming to Blu-ray/DVD October 2012.

The rumored street-date is October 2nd.

The film premiered for the first time at Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo Sept. 15th.
