Default Molly's Mom

Wow, just saw S2E5 and Molly's mom really was getting under my skin. When did she go from sarcastic, horny, funny drunk to a mean one? I think Mike isn't the only one who hopes to not see that side of her again. O yeah and that kneck of hers could really use a little work. I know she is old and all, but dang did she used to be fat too or something...Just sayin

I like the mother on the show (Swoozie Kurtz). A bit of background, the father of her two daughter's died when the kids were young, and so the mother has had to be both mother and father. In that episode, she did not want the younger sister to move out because they are best friends, which is sometimes unhealthy in that dynamic. In laws, and especially new in laws are not family, especially in this case where they aren't married.

There needs to be a bit of tension in the family dynamic, with a (very large) man moving into what was for decades a three female household. There needs to be some comedic tension. Personally, if I was a sitcom character, I would love to be the one with the younger sister, I also love pot, wine and sex.

Default Swoosie too thin

It seems like Swoosie (the Mom) has gotten very thin since the start of the series. Is she ill, or anorexic? She wears layers to disguise it, but, this season, she isn't hiding it very well. She looks like she is just melting away. I hope that she is (or gets) OK.

I love Swoosie, loved her on Sister where that was a drama. But it must take a lot for her to be that skinny. I will never be like Billy and Melissa but not like Swoosie either because I love to eat too much.
