'The Simpsons' Helped "Move Forward" The Women's Movement on TV??!?

Ask any comedy nerd and he or she will tell you that The Simpsons is the greatest show of all time, if not the greatest comedy of all time, if not the greatest anything of any amount of time, ever. Notably, The Simpsons, which depicts a raucous but loving family amid a sea of goonish characters, gave rise to TV favorite Lisa Simpson, a musically gifted, well-read, and extremely articulate vegetarian. Lisa’s especially celebrated (have you seen her book club?) for those very reasons: she’s a thoughtful female character in a male-dominated landscape and precisely the type of character who will make a little sister watching the show with her brother make a knowing smile.

Amen.

However, I still think that while Bart is just a rambunctious young boy, Lisa is truly evil and is surely bound for Hell.

The earliest example I can think of right now was in Lisa the Vegetarian when she ruined the barbecue that her father worked so hard on and spent so much money on, she should have been grounded for life for that little stunt!

Then she was keeping animals in the house in an illegal zoo, resulting in serious injury to Bart, and she was more concerned with what would happen to the animals in her illegal zoo than with the fact that she had ruined his drumming career.

She turned down a $12 million check from Mr. Burns that could have really helped out her and her family simply because the money was earned by harvesting Sea life.

There are other examples, I just can't think of them right now.

She does love her family though
