I voted for Bonanza. Although I also like Gunsmoke the fact that Bonanza is centered around a family and their relationships with each other as well as with others in their community really appeals to me and makes the stories they tell that much more compelling.

Hoss is cool, but little Joe is my favorite character. Loved Michael Landon in everything, but probably most in Gunsmoke. Toss up between Gunsmoke, and LHOTP. Encore Westerns is a great channel, and for those with Comcast, and probably Direct Tv too can catch all three shows there. One of the few things about tv that i actually miss. |

I voted for 'Gunsmoke' because I like the interactions between the main characters. 'Bonanza' is okay, but I always found 'Have Gun Will Travel' a little boring. I also like 'The Virginian', 'Maverick' and 'Wanted Dead or Alive'.

I picked Have Gun Will Travel. I like the half hour westerns the best, especially where there is just one main character, The Rebel,The Loner,Tate,Wanted;dead or alive. There was more gunplay in them. The hour long westerns were too soap opera-ish for my tastes.
