Thanks hillbilly - it's about time TV-land made some kind of acknowledgement about CATM. When the episodes were being shown, you couldn't find anything on their web-site about them except for the daily schedule/guide. Surely they realize that with a popular 70's show like that was, there would be people interested in seeing info about it now. I just wish CATM could come back on and be shown at a decent time.

It's odd how they waited until after the show was taken off to do a section on the show...

Also note that the TVLAND message boards on CATM that re on AOL have been moved to the message boards section on other classic tv shows now that the show isn't on anymore...

TVLAND has a book out on TVLAND TV shows called TVLAND to go. I saw it in a bookstore today & there is a CATM se tion but no pix of Fredie tho. CATM was the #96 show & it said that after the first season was over with that Freddie never smiled on the show except when it was called fcr in the script. It was so sad to read that. Makes you want to cry.

Maybe they intend on bringing the show back to their roster...one can only hope!

Angry The TVLand book

The book Cheryl is refering to is the one that was being touted during the fan marathon in early December. That is the weekend they showed the bathtub episode of CATM. The guy who was hosting the weekend is the author of that book and the weekend was nothing more than a huge commercial for his book. When he introduced the episode of CATM, he said of the show "CATM is not really considered a classic show...but this episode was noteworthy of only one fact, that Penny Marshal makes a brief appearance." For this reason alone, I wouldn't put too much stock in what he writes. I think Freddie's smile was very natural! IMHO
BTW This guy was introduced as the creative consultant for programing for TV Land...with this kind of attitude, no wonder CATM is gone from their line up!
