If yes, why was she a landlady and then eventually work in an office??? It seemed very un-MTM like that Phyllis wasn't a success as a female character....

Yes Brain Damage,Phyllis did indeed have a Master's degree,also a real estate licence,yet all this was forgotten when the spinoff Phyllis happened.

Phyllis was dumbed down and began more scatty than outrageous.

I still like Phyllis though because of Cloris and Mother Dexter,shame the

character was changed so much,though.
