25 years ago; Genesis and Peter Gabriel Hit #1 Back to Back
Hey guys,
25 years ago Genesis consisted of lead singer Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford of Mike and the Mechanics hit #1 with their song from the title cut to their 4th #1 Pop Album entitled Invisible Touch It was not only the band's 2nd Top 10 Hit on the Pop Chart here in America, but this was also their only #1 Pop Hit here in America The song spent 1 week @ #1, however, the following week, Former Genesis Frontman Peter Gabriel scored his 1st and only #1 Pop Solo here in America Both songs each spent only 1 week @ #1 on the Pop Chart here in America Back to Back and now, here they are Genesis Featuring Phil Collins - Invisible Touch Their only #1 Pop Hit here in America Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer His only #1 Pop Solo Hit here in America |
