Default Granny + Jed, Mr Drysdale + Miss Jane

I recall something funny, when I was little watching this show, I thought Jed and Granny were married, and I thought Mr. Drysdale and Miss Jane were married LOL I think probably b/c Mr. Drysdale and Miss Jane were always together.

Anyone else think that?

That's pretty normal for a kid to perceive something like that. How 'bout Andy & Aunt Bee? Kate and Uncle Joe? Shirley & Ruebin? Eddie's dad & Mrs. Livingston?

When I was a kid I thought Drysdale & Jane were married. I also thought Buddy & Sally from The Dick Van Dyke Show were married, probably since Buddy's wife, Pickles, was hardly ever on the show, not at all after Season 2.

Yes I DID think Andy and Aunt Bee were married. So I could't understand WHY Andy dated lol

But it's funny whenever I heard the Clampettes talk about Mrs. Drysdale I THOUGHT the were talking about Miss Jane lol

I used to think of something like that too. Not just Beverly Hillbillies, but also Partridge Family. Where Jed and Granny and Shirley and Reuben were the parents, and Jethro and Elly Mae were brother and sister.

I thought Jed looked too old himself to be Granny's son-in-law, he almost looked about Granny's age himself.

He was only supposed to be in is late 40s-early 50s but he looked more like 60s to me.

When I was about four years old, I used to think Barney Rubble was a little kid and that he was Fred and Wilma's son.

You know, what's weird is I thought somethign similar, about Fred being Wilma's son!! BUT I thought Barney was supposed to be an OLD MAN, I think something about the way he talks reminds me of a goofy old man, so for some reason I saw Wilma and Barney as "older people" and I saw Fred and Betty as young. lol
