Default 70's clothes

I went shopping Saturday at the mall & u have to drive like 70 miles to the nearest mall around here cause I live in the boonies. N E way, I went to Sears & all those kind of stores & I didn't care much for the clothes because they all looked like stuff from 1972! It all looked like the clothes they wore on TC. I think they stole them from old 70's shows. There was a pair of light jeans tinted green w/ glitter down the sides & I was like ewwww... All the clothes were like a mixture of 70's & 80's stuff & it was weird... Well I guess thats what all the stores are going to, but I don't like that retro stuff. The clothes on TC looked better then what I saw. I thought my state had passed the disco phase a long time ago if it ever came here. Anyway, Is there all those 70's clothes where you all live?

Definitely!. Especially Old Navy -- they have so much 70s stuff. I got a 70s dress at Sears the other day, it's so fun! I have a few things that I've seen on TC... I like the retro look, but some things are hideous. Some aren't bad though...

70's clothes I think are coming back. Maybe 2002 will see a more retro look. Like at the mall, all their new stuff was all 70's!

Having lived through the '70s I'm glad that we don't have to
live through THAT decade again(weellllll...except for the tv,which
was one of the few GOOD things about the '70s).
Disco is happily DEAD!!!!!!

When I'm home alone I turn it on the 70s music channel and dance with my disco ball spinning.
Then I get out the skates.......
And Sean there was a special on Discovery Civilization that was called The 70s:Bell-Bottoms and I forgot the other part.
It was cool.
I'm glad I have the People Magazine Celebrates the 70s Issue!!

Well, I like some 70's styles too, but these clothes at the mall looked old & worn out. Someone said something about Delias and I think it's a great catalog! It would have been so funny to see someone on TC to wear lime green pants. Someone mentioned they saw lime green pants at Wal-Mart. Yep, I'm gonna go right out & buy those.... he,he TTYL bye!

I love the 70's fashion and early 80's. Notice I said early 80's not late. There is a big difference. But I think most of the style today is reminecent of 70's and early 80's considering in the early 80's, people still kind of dressed the same like in the 70's. (For example, men wearing tight t-shirts and so on) Anyways, some of my clothes l wear were once my father's from the 70's and early 80's and some of them IMO are pretty cool. Of course I don't wear disco shirts and bellbottoms like what Mr. Furley would wear but,I have a kind of puffy ski vest that's looks almost identical to what Jack wore in the episode where he went skiing to impress a girl. I also own a pair of vintage nike shoes, the kind like the ones you would see Jack, Arnold in Diff'rent Strokes, and girls in FOL would wear. Bottom line, I think the fashion back then was cool. Today, it seems we're just copying from the past, at least they had there own unique style. But on the otherhand some did look bad. LOL.
