It's been a couple years since iv'e been on the FT boards. Kind of weird considering the fact that i pretty much spent my first two years at SO almost exclusively here.
Anyway, started a thread on chit chat, and made me rememeber something Meredith told me years back. i asked her what her favorite FT episode was, and she said it was one of the Christmas ones. Haven't seen it in years, but it was one of my favorites too back in the day. Can't remember the episode, but it was the poor Christmas, where the Keaton's laundry was hanging up in the living room next to a pitiful little tree, and Elyse would continuously run into the close line. lol Great episode. She said she mostly preferred the more light hearted episodes, but she also loved the eps. with Tom Hanks. Said he was an amazing actor, and she knew big things were coming for him. Anyway, just thought that this might interest some of you! More Meredith Baxter Thoughts |

I remember that episode! It was based on "A Christmas Carol" with Alex playing a Scrooge like version of his future self and the rest of the Keaton's were poor like the Cratchit family in the original story. I watch that episode every year at Christmas time. I also really enjoy the episodes in which Tom Hanks guest starred as Uncle Ned. Especially his scenes with Alex. He and Michael J. Fox were great together.

yeah, iv'e never been good with episode names. i agree with you about Michael, and Tom Hanks. i loved the scene in the episode where Ned talks to Alex about the business world, while making his corn flakes. One of my favorite scenes. You are so right, the chemistry was off the charts. Two acting geniuses, and two of my heroes to boot!! |

I also loved the episodes with Tom Hanks, especially the one where Ned's drinking problem is revealed. I remember the scene where he accidentally slaps Alex and immediately feels remorseful enough to call AA. Very powerful.
