18 Years After His Death, River Phoenix's Final Unfinished Film May Get Released!
Director George Sluizer has announced plans to release Dark Blood, the 1993 film that Phoenix was filming at the time of his death. The movie, about a recluse who lives on a nuclear testing site, was left unfinished, and footage from the shoot has never been made public. Sluizer hopes to cobble together a final product with reedits and a voice-over from River's brother Joaquin Phoenix. Says Sluizer, "The voices of the two brothers are very much alike."
