Default How would you react if you saw your DOCTOR riding the train?

This really blew my mind because I thought that a doctor would have the salary to not care about parking, or gas fees. I will be asking my doctor on my next appt........"Why were you on the train?"

LOL, I have to find out why

There are probably a few Doctors out there that use other modes of transportation, bus, bicycle, scooter, subway, walking, etc... He may also have had a reason for taking the train such as his car not being available.

Not all doctors are filthy rich. Your doctor may not like driving in traffic. Maybe he's a greeny and is keeping those filthy emissions out of the environment. His car could be getting fixed. It could be anything. The things you wonder about, Solomon. You must have asked your Mom 100 questions a day when you were a child, lol.

I don't see it as a big deal either. Like Janice, said there could be a lot of reasons. And not all doctors make a bundle...having to deal with Insurance Companies and medicare.

I have a few friends who are doctors. A lot of cash comes in, but a lot more goes out to keep their practices afloat. A few are considering quitting seeing patients all together and going into research which can be more lucrative in the end.

I wouldn't care. I sometimes take the rail to another city because I hate sitting in traffic, I park downtown and take the rail. It's much faster, less stress on you and your car and it saves money. Paying $60-$80 to fill your car up once a week is expensive no matter your salary.

I think that's very admirable to see people using any type of public transit (boat, train, bus, light rail). It shows that they care about the environment and want to reduce congestion and so forth. I could probably afford to drive downtown to work every day but I won't do it because it's such a hassle and I hate sitting in traffic.

I might just take a seat next to him and tell him my complaints. One way to get to see him/her. How are you Doc and what can you tell me about my sore hip?

The insurance companies with all their red tape and low-scheduled payments to the providers in their network are also to blame. I don't blame some doctors for persuing other venues...they spent a lot of time and money for their expertise...they deserve to be adequately compensated for it.
