Default For The Seniors In High School?

How many credits do you have to have to graduate? I have to have 29 to grduate right now I have 28. I only one more then I am home free. But I will end up with 32 when I graduate.

I'm not a senior as of yet, two more years to go, but I believe 32 is required to graduate in my state.

Gee, I bet you guys wish you could go to school in the UK. We have no such thing as graduation. It doesn't matter how dumb you are - everyone gets a certificate when they leave!!!

We need 130 credits-- for all 4 years of HS....but we get 5 credits for every course, except for study halls and a lab science (you get 6, because you have 20 more minutes a week than any other class...) So this year, if I pass everything, I 'll get 41 credits..

I'm not a senior yet either. I'm not quite sure how many. But I believe it is like 29...I live in KY like you do JDS84...but I go to school in VA because I live on the border of the two states. But there is like to different 'things' ( I dont know the proper name ) you can do. There is one that is like the 'normal' thing that has like 20 something credits** and like 5 verified credits*. Then there is the advanced program (doesnt matter what kinda grades you get exactly its just how many credits you earn). The advanced program thing you have to get 20 something credits, more than the normal program, and 9 verified credits*. This advanced one is more ideal if you wish to attend college...or so says my guidance counselor.
In the normal program thingy (dontcha love my choice of words lol) you have to have one of the 5 credits in English/Lit and Math i believe. Where as you have to have one of them in English lit, math, science, and foreign lang. in the advanced program. The rest remaining are w/e you want them to be.
Also, to pass HS no matter what, you have to have at least 3yrs. of math (Alg. 1&2 (thats 2) and Geometry (3)), 4yrs of eng. and 2 yrs. of a foreign language.

**(Credits) You get these at my HS if you pass the course/subject on your report card and grades and all that.

*(Verified Credits) You have to take and SOL test (Standards of Learning) over everything you have learned in the particular class since you started it. If you pass (passing grade 400 or above) then you get a verified credit.

There is prolly more I cant remember but ive talked enough...gotta get that alg. HW done. ack lol

Yeah... Ithink there is a different sort of credits everywhere. Ours are 5 credits per normal course per year, and 6 per lab course. If you take AP classes, you get college credits, which are totally different.
