Agent Larabee - NBC episodes vs. the CBS episodes - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

One of the biggest changes when the show moved from NBC to CBS,in my opinion,was how they changed Agent Larabee's character from pretty smart on the NBC episodes,to bumbling,and downright dumb on the CBS episodes. Question:What was the very first episode to feature the character Agent Larabee?

Actor Bob Karvelas first appeared in Get Smart in various roles, I think there is even one early episode where he is cast as a KAOS agent. I think it was in the episode Ship Of Spies where Larabee is first mentioned, but his character doesn't really get going until the season 2 episode Cutback At Control where Larabee has spoken lines for the first time.

Larabee became more and more of a dim-wit in seasons 4 & 5, that he exasperated The Chief, more than Max did. He had some hilarious moments.

I just finished watching the entire series, and never knew he was such a prominent character.
