Thumbs up Surprisingly low prices

This is in contrast to my other thread about high prices. From time to time when i go to the store, i still find things that are surprisingly cheap. The item below was my inspiration for this thread. Please share other surprisingly low prices. This thread could really help people save money. Arizona Ice Tea, 79 cents.

I love the bottled Arizona diet blueberry tea, I've found it in Big Lots on several occasions for .60 and if my rewards club discount is in affect, I get another 20% off that which makes it .48 each.

Wow, that's a really good price. i never tried that flavor before. i actually tried Arizona ice tea for the first time a few weeks ago at Winco. i was going to get gatorade, but it was like a buck seventy nine, so i tried the tea instead, and enjoyed it very much. i'll keep an eye out for the blueberry kind. It sounds good.

i found 75 cents this morning, and Carl had a quarter. Good that he did too, because the price of Arizona Tea went up to 99 cents. What a surprise.

This time i tried the green tea kind, last time i had the iced tea. i think i prefer the green tea. It's supposedly healthier too, so that's a plus.

Cool

The other day i got 8 avacodos for a buck. If you check the produce dept. in your local grocery they sometimes have a batch of things in a bag that might already be ripe. (I got these in Kroger). These were so i put them in the fridge and they were delicious, and lasted a couple of weeks.

i love avacados! They usually don't last long when i'm around. We don't get them too often though because they are so expensive. i'll have to look into this. Thanks for sharing!!

Brought this up in the high price thread, but think it fits better here. A couple weeks back i went to the store and saw that a 24 pack of Shasta was going for only $3.95. Amazing since 12 packs of coke go for over five bucks now.

One of our grocery stores had Arizona tea buy one get one free which worked out to .49 per can. I stocked up on the Arnold Palmers which is half tea & half lemonade.

As soon as i read this a few days ago, within 15 minutes, i ran up to 7-11, and went up and got one at 2:00 am. lol i think i'm becoming an addict. Atleast it's not drugs. Sadly they only had the ice tea kind, so i had to go with it. Looked for the kind you mentioned, but sadly, can't find it anywhere. i always have more trouble finding the more interesting, and exotic flavors.

Here's something that i wanted to share. If you are looking for treats, go to the Dollar Tree. Alot of stuff there is crap, no doubt, but their selection of snacks is quite vast, and they sometimes go up to two or three dollars cheaper than in regular chains. i'd recommend getting all snack items their when food shopping.

i just bought two more iced teas. Mom and i went up to Winco tonight, cause she had a 2:00 am craving for something to eat. i bought 1 green tea, and tried a new one as well, Kiwi Strawberry, which is now my new favorite, mom's too.

The price went down again, nowhere near the price you got them for Charles, but getting closer. 69 cents. i'm sure tomorrow it'll be back up to 99 cents though with the ever revolving price door constantely in motion. lol

Do you have a CVS in your area? They have the Arizona tea buy one get one free quite often.

Confused

i noticed something odd, and quite interesting a few days ago. Went to the store, and it had only one aisle, and far less selection of Halloween candy. Not only that, but the average bag went down from one to two dollars. Huh???

Over a month ago, there were three aisle of candy, but not just candy, every type, and the prices were more expensive. You'd think they would be more expensive now with Halloween being so close, and everybody buying it, but no. i'm sure there's a method to this here madness, but the hell if i know what it is!

The stores will lower their prices on Halloween candy the closer it gets to the actual date. The day after Halloween, they start marking it down by as much as 50% or more because they have this stupid belief that the quality of the candy starts to diminish after Oct. 31st.

Ahh, okay, thanks for explaining that. Yeah, i notice that they do the same thing shortly after Valentine's Day, and Easter, among others. At Walgreens and Rite Aid, it's sometimes up to 70, even 80 percent off. i always do much of my shopping within a day or two after the Holiday's, because the stuff sure don't last long. Either that, or all the best stuff is gone. You need to jump on it.
