FOX has pulled an original episode of "New Girl" from its lineup on Tuesday, October 18.

Said installment, "Naked," was set to follow a special 90-minute edition of "The X Factor" at 9:30/8:30c. The network will instead expand "X Factor" to two hours.

The news comes on the heels of Friday's decision to pull this Wednesday's original "New Girl," which will now likewise be replaced by a two-hour "X Factor."

Coupled with the previously announced pre-emption on October 25 (also for "X Factor"), "New Girl" - as well as fellow Tuesday entries "Glee" and "Raising Hope" - won't air another new episode until November 1.

FOX is scheduled to air an episode tomorrow night, October 12th, at 9:30pm. This article mentions nothing about it. Is it still airing then?

I assume the reference to this Wednesday's episode is referring to October 12th.
