Unfortunatly.. it seems there will be two "best of" sets, because of musical rights, meaning a lot of episodes will not be included... typical.

Would you like to swing on a star oh oh oh
Carry moonbeams home in a jar oh oh oh
And be better off than you are oh oh oh
Or would you rather go to earth
An earthling's a creature who is plain as can be yeaah
He's not as unique as you or me
His body comes in lots of different shapes on ha
They say his relatives were chimps and apes
But if you take my advice for what it's worth. yeah yeah yeah
You could be happy there on earth.

These episodes are not included in the Volume 1 set: Playing With the Power, The Nightmare, Till Then, Fifties Mom, To Tell the Truth, Pen Pals, Mosquito Man - The Motion Picture, The Russians are Coming, Boy Crazy, The Three Faces of Evie, I've Got a Secret, Evei's Two Dads, Queens for a Day

So 11 episodes from season one, 2 from season two, will not be included on this DVD set.

Default english track - recreated?

however, in addition to replacing the theme song, it sounds to me like Troy's voice is also dubbed.

update:maybe not. the first episode sounds off, season 2 ep 1 sounds ok.

Any explanation as to why this happened? Also, any other redubbing work?

P.S. Ascot Elite are freakin' lazy for not securing the music rights. I have no remorse for them.

that speech does have a little music at the end of it. odd thing is the music doesn't sound changed. The other episodes i've watched seem fine.

I thought videotape-originated shows did not have separate audio tracks. So how could only Troy's voice change?

I think Troys voice was only different in the pilot so perhaps once the pilot sold they decided to go for a 'star.' His voice sounds right in every episode on the set bar the pilot.

Maureen Flannigan's answer towards why OOTW hasn't been officially released to DVD in the United States:
Quote:
I have no idea if OOTW will reach DVD. I sure hope it does. That would be cool. Unfortunately, the executive producers of OOTW did not practice fair business policies and had an injunction placed against them barring them from ever making money off the show again. Sucks for me and my fans, but it was a very good thing to happen to the producers. What comes around goes around sometimes in Hollywood.
