I'd say I watch most of my shows on TV Land. When TNN first introduced its great new line-up, I was there everyday. But since TNN has been running that black line with the name of the show airing, along the bottom of the screen, I have dropped TNN like a lead balloon. I don't care how much I love The Wonder Years, I am not going to watch TNN.

Drew...I don't watch TNN because I find the black bar distracting. Simple as that. If it doesn't bother you, that's cool, but it does me. I find it pathetic that these stations find it necessary to plaster all this garbage all over the shows.

For instance: Last night I watched(or tried to watch, I should say) The Andy Griffith show on Nick-at-Nite. Every few minutes or so they would plaster the screen with this annoying garbage about something one of the characters did or said.

I have noticed that TNN, TV Land & Nick at Nite's addresses are the same. I guess they must be owned by the same people.

I like my tv viewing to be garbage free. I hate when they plaster junk on the bottom, top, and sides. I hate when they scrunch the credits up at the end also. And since I am the consumer, and I buy the products that their advertisers are selling, I carry a lot of weight. What's next with these stupid stations? God only knows. You give them an inch and they take a mile. So that is why I refuse to watch. I also have notified some of their sponsors that I won't buy their products.

Of course this is just my personal opinion, however, I have noticed many other people who have posted similar views. I guess each to his own...

Twinkle, I guess it is a matter of personal opinion. I happen to like those pop up things on N@N. Thats why its called the unrealathon. It points out certain things in a show and gives u facts. It doesnt take that much time to read and doesnt stay on long, just dont look at it if you dont like it. What is there to see anyway. I could watch a tv show without tv, it radio with a screen. And its not like we havent all seen these episodes before so we know whats happening. I can focus on one or more things, maybe others cant, hmmm.

Drew...I really take offense to you calling me weird, and insinuate that I should just "ignore" what I don't like(or that I am some sort of a moron if I can't do so). I merely stated that I do not watch those channels for that reason.

You are entitled to your opinion, just as I am. I didn't call you names, now did I?

Drew...You need to re-read your posts. I posted my opinion, and you chose to post yours. The problem is, instead of just stating how you felt, you chose to act as though something was strange about me not being able to see past the black line(and your exact quote was..."That's weird.") and something some other remark in your second post(about you being able to focus on more than one thing...and I guess you don't think I can). In the future, how about stating an opinion without taking pot-shots at others? FWIW, there are lots of shots I could lob your direction about your posts, but being an adult, I won't do that...

It just looked like he was curious why you would let the bar stop you from watching. That's all. No need to get so defensive.
